Around eight companies are going to set shops in Vijayawada on February 16th in the first round and will be able to generate 500 jobs. This signals the arrival of Information Technology firms in Amaravati, the capital of Andhra Pradesh.
About fifteen IT training schools will also be set up simultaneously in Amaravati for training engineering students in relevant technologies so that the trainees can be easily employed by the IT companies. Out of the 15 training institutes, 10 are from Hyderabad and the remaining are from Bengaluru.
As per Ravi Kumar Vemuru, CEO, AP Non-Resident Telugu Society, setting up of Information Technology firms in Amaravati along with training institutes is a big boost for the capital of Andhra Pradesh. Creating an IT ecosystem will help tech and engineering graduates get placements easily in the top companies in Amaravati.
List of Information Technology Firms in Amaravati in the First Round
Around 3000 engineering graduates in Amaravati will undergo specialized training prior to their placement in IT companies. On February 16th, companies like Intellisoft, Horizon IT, TimesquareIT, MSR Cosmos, AdvanSoft (Chicago), Adept Solutions, Timesquare IT, and Accel IT will be operating from February 16th at Autonagar in Vijayawada.
Before scaling up, these companies will initially hire 500 to 600 persons as per Ravi Kumar. Grupo Antolin, Spanish IT major will start its operations at the Medha IT Towers near Vijayawada airport which wasn’t occupied for five years, bringing it to life. The Spanish company specializes in interior design an automotive software tech.
India’s HCL and foreign company Neslova Systems are ready to set their offices in Medha IT Towers which will help in providing employment for 1000 more persons. As part of its talent hunt for BPO, HCL has contacted few local engineering colleges.
